May 1, 2023 – General Mills is recalling several package sizes of its Gold Medal flour because it could be contaminated with the bacteria Salmonella.
The company announced On Friday, it was announced that the recall includes 2-pound, 5-pound and 10-pound bags of Gold Medal unbleached and bleached all-purpose flour with specific expiration dates printed on the baggage. The expiration dates are March 27, 2024 and March 28, 2024. No other Gold Medal flour products are affected by the recall.
The company urged all owners of affected products to eliminate them and offered a toll-free number to talk to the corporate's customer support team at 800-230-8103.
The company stated that salmonella was discovered when sampling the product within the 5-pound bag.
