According to research presented on the American Heart Association's Scientific Sessions in November 2019, individuals with heart disease even have a better risk of developing cancer.
Researchers analyzed data from the Framingham Heart Study on 12,712 individuals who didn't have heart disease or cancer initially of the study. They used a risk estimator that predicts an individual's likelihood of developing heart disease inside 10 years.
